Unit Four: Absolutism
Unit Goals:
• To develop an understanding of the techniques used by the different monarchs of Western and Eastern Europe and what made them different from one another.
• To understand how the Thirty Years war contributed to the political and religious landscapes of Europe
• To be able to explain the goals and features of an absolute monarchy and the degrees to which they were achieved.
• To understand how the limited constitutional monarchy of England differed from the Absolute Monarchs of Continental Europe
