Course Outline:
This is a survey course in American History spanning over 350 years. We begin in colonial times and progress to the modern era. Some of our main goals are to develop an understanding of the major themes and events which have shaped our history, and to also understand government function, the democratic process, and the importance of the values of pluralism in American society. To achieve this, we will examine the following:
